I'm not sure what's missing from that thread, but you can try the Wayback Machine archives (celestiaproject.space, celestia.space).

Re: Catalogs of small bodies

The latest update includes new colors for many objects thanks to recent TCT updates, including recently named quasi-satellite 164207 Cardea.

The links point to old URLs for the Celestia website. I've fixed the link in my post to point to celestiaproject.space.

Re: SevenSpheres' Addons

It looks like the original Google Drive upload of Askaniy's paleo-Earth maps (linked e.g. here ) is gone. These maps are available as an addon on mobi and in Celestia Origin, but I'll reupload the original here for archival. These have been used, for example, to depict Ordovician Earth with hypothes...

Catalogs of small bodies

For some time now I've had a script to generate ssc files from the JPL Small-Body Database . These are similar to other catalogs of minor planets, but I can more easily update them or include specific sets of objects. I already uploaded a catalog of Atira asteroids to celestia.mobi some months ago b...

Re: Multiple Star System Add-On

Wikibooks may be helpful though it's not edited much; you can also try this old guide. Really the best way to learn how to make Celestia addons is to look at how existing ones (like this) are set up.

Classification of Martian and asteroid moons

This topic has come up again on Discord so here's a poll on it. Celestia currently uses the "moon" class for large moons (≥200 km radius) and "minormoon" for all other moons, regardless of what they orbit. This is based on Celestia Origin & Project Echoes conventions, and was...

Re: Project Sisyphus - Texturing/painting every exoplanet known

There are two unconfirmed exoplanets orbiting Luyten 726-8; all are about the size of Jupiter. Even though they aren't confirmed, why not give them a try? http://adsabs.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/nph-bib_query?bibcode=2000AJ....119..906S&db_key=AST&high=38e0b7728707947 They probably are disproven ...

Re: Project Sisyphus - Texturing/painting every exoplanet known

The discovery paper does call it "the smallest microlensing planet", but that's referring to the mass ratio with its host star; there are a few microlensing planets with smaller absolute masses, like this one. I've edited the Wikipedia article to make this more clear.

Tonight on arXiv: 2 new planets around Teegarden's Star using CARMENES GTO and Legacy-Plus Awaiting for that just because all sub-10 pc planets are done!
