W00t!
Where is Ceres in the Sol system? As in between the orbits of which planets?

It's one of the major asteroids between Mars and Jupiter.
It's in Celestia.

One way to find the answer to your question might be to use some kind of solar system simulation software on your computer. I've heard there's a program called "Celestia" that you could try...

Hot-damn. I've got some odd fascination with Ceres and Vesta - very under-rated solar system bodies IMO... it's always good to see new images of them!
Isn't there a mission (Dawn?) off to go image them? I know that was being planned at some point, did it ever get off the ground?

Damn... This is gonna cause an update on Ceres' texture...
...and reopen still-unhealed wounds after U313 and Sedna.....

It is currently being assembled. The launch is in June, 2006.

But don't hold your breath: Dawn won't arrive at Ceres until August 2015.

REason I didn't open up Celestia and find Ceres was because I had something running and couldn't close it to open up Celestia.
